Empower Peace

Empower Peace is a worldwide, coordinated grassroots program designed to educate, motivate, and empower high school-aged youth to engage in the promotion of peace, mutual respect and cultural understanding between high school students living in the United States and the Arab and Muslim worlds. Empower Peace bridges the gap through educational leadership conferences and the utilization of state of the art internet-based technologies including video-conferencing, interactive web casting and other internet-based collaborative platforms. Their programs include Virtual Connections - connects classrooms around the world, Women2Women - a leadership program for young women in the U.S. and Middle East, and Global Village - civic engagement initiatives for youth.

Global School Net provides opportunities for students, teachers and educators to enhance their knowledge and awareness of the world around them and to engage in collaborative partnerships with other schools and organizations around the world. National Geographic offers a large variety of educational material for teachers to bring to their classrooms. One World Youth Project works to connect middle and high school students with other students and groups from around the world to form community service partnerships through cultural exchange. Soliya

Soliya uses new technologies to facilitate dialogue between students around the world. Their flagship program, Connect Program, connects undergraduate students from the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and the United States. This program provides students with opportunities, skills, and tools to form and refine their own views and conclusions on global issues that face us on a daily basis.
