Guidelines for Organizations

Content submitted to the U.S. Center for Citizen Diplomacy website will pass through the following editorial process.

The goal of the USCCD Web site is to provide the most comprehensive listing available anywhere of resources and opportunities for interested American citizens to get engaged in exemplary citizen diplomacy activities and programs.

Below are three questions that will help you decide if your organization should be submitted for listing on the USCCD Web site:

  1. Does your organization’s mission align with the mission and vision of the USCCD?
  2. Does your organization provide U.S. citizens with meaningful opportunities to engage in international relations through people-to-people activities and/or programs that enhance cross-cultural understanding? A few examples of citizen diplomacy opportunities are: international exchange programs, hosting of international guests visiting the U.S., and volunteer service abroad?
  3. Would a listing on the USCCD Web site enhance your organization’s exposure and ability to serve by helping attract and direct potential participants and/or volunteers to your organization and programs?
