World Artists Experience offers great events this fall!

This fall World Artists Experience has no shortage of interesting and arts events available to people in the Maryland area.

The first, which takes place on Friday, October 21st is a Korean Cultural Immersion Day. Take advantage of this opportunity to become more accustomed to the Korean culture and history by taking a trip to the Korean Embassy, hearing lectures, enjoying Korean food and music, and heading down to the Korean War Memorial. Also, a visit to the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery to view "Portraiture Now, Asian in America" will make this an enlightening experience.

9:00 am: Depart from Annapolis at Forest Plaza
5:30 pm: Return to Annapolis at Forest Plaza

A second event will definitely be an unforgettable experience--Alash, Throat Singers from Tuva.

"Imagine a human bagpipe-a person who could sing a sustained low note while humming an eerie, whistle-like melody. For good measure, toss in a thrumming rhythm similar to that of a jaw harp, but produced vocally-by the same person, at the same time." -Newsweek (March 17, 2006)

Alash sings traditional Tuvan music but also blends in different western elements to creat a truly uniquely infused brand of music. You won't want to miss this performance!

Tuva is an area on the southern edge of Siberia, once a part of both Chinese and Mongolian empires.

Apart from the 7pm, October 28th performance, Alash will also perform the following events:

October 25 - Frostburg Unversity Lane Performing Arts Center, Frostburg - 8:00 PM (call 301-777-1027)

October 26 - Salisbury University Holloway Hall, 10 Camden St., Salisbury, MD - 7:00 PM

October 27 - Chesapeake Arts Center, Brooklyn Park, MD - 7:00 PM
