On the 10th Anniversary of 9/11, Serve!

On the 10th Anniversary of 9/11, Serve!

As the 10th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the United States nears, we look back and mourn the losses we suffered on that Tuesday morning. Although it is a time to look back and commemorate those who were heroic and those who lost lives, it is also time to celebrate the things (often gone unnoticed in the media) that make this country great, such as our commitment to service.

September 11 is now considered by Service Nation and through the Edward M. Kennedy Service America Act as a National Day of Service and Remembrance.

Service is an important pillar in citizen diplomacy. Many of the organizations listed on our website are volunteer service organizations and have programs and events for citizens to get involved in.

All around the country, organizations and individuals will be volunteering their time and effort to honor their nation and those who risked their lives 10 years ago. What better way to spend this memorable day than to perpetuate the acts that make this nation great.

How will you serve?
