Final Chance to Submit Your Story for National Awards
Dear Friends,
Thank you for all your stories. We've received more than 50 stories and have enjoyed reading each one and sharing some on our blog or directly to you through email. But we want more! Due to the number of inspiring stories still coming in, we have extended the deadline until the end of this week to submit your story if you want it considered for the National Awards for Citizen Diplomacy, to be given out in November in Washington D.C. We want 100 stories by Friday and we need yours to get there.
Share your story today
These stories tell the world why citizen diplomacy is so important. That is why the more we receive, the more inspiration we generate for others to become citizen diplomats or to support citizen diplomacy.
We need to close nominations for the National Awards, this Friday, July 16, so that is why you need to get your story in to us. Starting next week, the citizen diplomacy stories we have received will be given to our awards selection committee. The committee may be requesting additional information from top candidates to complete the vetting process. These include candidates like those we've been telling you about on Twitter and Facebook, and through this blog. Ultimately, the committee will select and notify six winners by the end of August and announce those winners to the public in October.
Help us collect 100 stories!
