Featuring Organizations and Individuals in Citizen Diplomacy

As the U.S. Summit and Initiative for Global Citizen Diplomacy is getting nearer everyday, we would like to focus on and feature a number of smaller citizen and cultural diplomacy efforts taking place aournd the world that do not receive as much press or coverage. Our goal is to shed light on citizen diplomats and citizen diplomacy organizations doing great work in the field all over the world and domestically. As you have seen through our Share Your Stories campaign, there are so many citizen diplomats around the world and in the United States who are committed to enhancing the relationship between the citizens of the U.S. and other nations and whether they are doing it individually or by means of organizations, the image of the United States is being improved.

Some of the people/organizations will have submittes stories to us, others are simply organizations or people who have not had much exposure and are doing work abroad that is deserving of some recognition. Stay tuned for organizations and people to be featured on the blog in the run-up to the U.S. Summit.

In the meantime, please visit our Stories page to read some great stories of citizen diplomacy.
