Creative Learning announces the 2011-12 School to School Initiative!

Creative Learning's Unofficial Ambassadors project is proud and excited to announce the 2011-2012 School to School Initiative (S2S). This partnership between an American elementary, middle, or high school and one in either Jordan or Egypt creates opportunities to support the education of students at a school in the US and abroad.

This opportunity provides benefits to both parties. The US School will support the other school through assistance purchasing educational and classroom materials which will enhance the learning environment in Jordan/Egypt school. These items will be tailored to meet the needs of the specific school enaging in the partnership. The American school will also benefit by the enhanced learning environment created by the desire to obtain a more in-depth understanding of their peers in the other school. This leads to the increase in global understanding and awareness. The grassroots partnership that is created by the S2S Initiative makes great strides dispelling harmful stereotypes from both sides (American and Muslim World) by increasing people to people connections.

To apply to engage in this mutually supporting initiative, visit the Creative Learning, Unofficial Ambassadors project website.

Educational partnerships, especially at the primary and secondary educational level go a long way towards sparking an interest in international affairs, giving students the desire travel abroad and engage in volunteer projects, study abroad, and other educational endeavors. This is a great opportunity for schools to globalize their curriculum by partnering with a school on the other side of the globe.

You can learn more about the S2S Initiative and get questions answered by visiting the S2S page on Creative Learning's site.

Creative Learning is a USCCD member organization.
